Organizer and exhibitors at the Africa Build Lagos exhibition has described the Nigerian building and construction sector as promising with a potential.
The Managing Director, Fairtrade, joint organizer of the exhibition, Mr. Martin Marz who spoke with Nigerian NewsDirect at the exhibition staged in Lagos, said the Nigeria’s building and construction sector has huge demand for housing solutions which makes it an emerging market with high investment possibilities.
“We had good flow of visitors at the exhibition, quality ones at that. We were able to bring together 60 companies from 12 countries specialized in providing construction and housing solutions. We try to concentrate more on emerging markets,” says Marz.
One of the product exhibitors at the event, Samed Ugur Erdem of Botech, a Turkish company told Nigerian NewsDirect that the Nigerian security challenges are similar to what Turkey has been faced with recently, hence the need to consider installing quality security gadgets and solutions at homes and in public places.
Erdem who said his products are aimed at creating security consciousness at homes disclosed he is ready to collaborate with Nigerian firms and authorities on provision of adequate home security.
Also, the Federation of Construction Industries (FOCI) was at the exhibition to showcase indigenous companies blazing the trail in the Nigerian built environment with home grown solutions.
