Nigeria vs Zambia: We’ll break World Cup jinx against Super Eagles – FAZ President, Kamanga The President of the Football Association of Zambian, FAZ, Andrew Kamanga, has tipped the Chipolopolo to break the World Cup jinx of the Super Eagles when they both meet in October 7 at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo for the 2018 World Cup qualifier.
Kamanga believes that the Copper Bullets can break the odds and secure a first World Cup ticket, at the expense of the Eagles.
The Zambia national team are the only team in Group A, that is yet to qualify for any World Cup tournament with Cameroon, Algeria and Nigeria all qualified in the tournament before.
Kamanga said, ‘’We are putting in every effort to make sure that this team is adequately prepared as we face Nigeria, which for me is the do or die game whoever wins that game will be assured of going to Russia 2018,’’
‘’But most interestingly in this group, we are the only ones who have never been to the World Cup, but with the favour we continue to draw on we should be able to qualify, come November because we have the advantage of playing Cameroon in the final round,’’ Kamanga told fazfootball.com.
The Super Eagles, who are unbeaten in 4 matches in the current qualifiers, top the group table with 10 points, 3 more than Zambia.
