While narrating his ordeal to Nigerian NewsDirect in Akure, the state
capital, Adewinle a 48 years old man journalist who hails from
Okitipupa in Ode-Irele local government area of Ondo state said he was
diagnosed with renal failure early in this year and had been going to
hospital for treatment.

According to him, he got the shocker of his life as what he thought to
be just malaria was later diagnosed by medical experts at the hospital
to be ‘Renal Failure, Kidney Disease’.

Adewinle who was transferred to the Gani Fawehinmi Diagnostics Centre,
Kidney Care Centre Ondo months ago said he had spent fortunes on drugs
and treatment including dialysis twice a week each session costs

He said: “However through expert advice, I have
decided to seek for funds for possible kidney
transplant in India, which will cost me between
N5million and N8million.

“It is a strange disease. I don’t drink or smoke. I
live purely on water.

“I have written to the Ondo State Governor, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko but
I have not gotten any response.”

While calling on governments, organisations and
individuals to assist him to raise the amount.
