The Nigerian Commodity Exchange over the weekend stormed Aba, the commercial capital of Abia State with the mission of training Nigerians to embrace the opportunities provided by the exchange to improve their well being and finance freedom.
At the program, entitled, empowerment “training of market participants on the use of the Nigeria Commodity Exchange (NCX) trading system” in conjunction with Hon Prestige Ossy, member, representing Abia North/South Federal constituency of Abia State, hundreds of participants were informed about ease of doing business without hassle which they are used to.
Coordinator of the training program Mr George Ezikpe Okiyi said ,”the whole essence is that you can transact business from the comfort of your homes. The basic motive of doing business is to make profit”, he stressed. Okiyi added that the program is unique in that it makes business easier and pointed out that emphasis of the program will be on grain.
He urged the participants to make the best out of the opportunity provided by the program.
Mr Emmanuel Egwu of Nigerian Commodity Exchange, while delivering lecture on, ‘Spot Market Operations’ said the event was aimed at enlightening the participants on how to be self-reliant.
He said Hon Ossy should be appreciated for empowering his constituents. He noted that the program will transform the agriculture sector..
The program also featured other lectures by seasoned resource persons, such as Mr Abiodun Sanusi who delivered a lecture on ‘Capacity building for commodity market, participants in Abia State, floor policy auction’, among others.
