Manufacturing Index drops to 56.5 Index points in May – CBN

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has disclosed that its Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) in the month of May stood at 56.5 index points, from 56.9 index points reported in April.

With 56.6 index points in May, the survey report by CBN means that there was expansion in manufacturing sector for the 14 consecutive month.

The CBN uses Production Level, New Orders, Supplier Delivery Time, Employment Level and Raw material Inventories to measure PMI monthly
