Inter Milan president, Erick Thohir, has confirmed that they are weighing up a bid for Arsenal midfielder, Mesut Ozil.
The Germany international is in the final season of his contract at the Emirates and can speak to foreign clubs in January.
Talks over a new deal have slowed down and Inter are monitoring the situation.
“He [Ozil] is definitely one of those players we are looking at.
“But the last January signings of Podolski and Shaqiri proves winter signings can fail to live up to expectations,” Thohir said.
Reports emerged earlier this week, suggesting a swap deal with Joao Mario could be on the cards.
