I can never be at loggerheads with Amosun over my ambition – Kola Lawal

The Commissioner for Forestry and one of the ruling party  gubernatorial aspirants in the State, Adeleoba Kola Lawal Mobolorunduro has revealed that the governor of the State, Sen. Ibikunle Amosun remains his mentor and would never because of his governorship ambition ditch the loyalty and respect he has for the governor.

Adeleoba Kola Lawal fondly called KLM disclosed this while debunking rumours going the round that he had allegedly switched political tent to that of Sen. Adeola Olamilekan popularly called Yayi, currently representing Lagos West at the Senate but strongly eyeing the governorship seat of the State.

Despite the Senator’s huge followership among the APC members in the State, he is believed not to be enjoying the support of the governor for his governorship ambition.

Speaking with our Correspondent at the sidelines of the just concluded Ogun State investors forum, the Commissioner said “ I don’t have anything doing with Yayi, Senator Ibikunle Amosun remains my leader and mentor and my unalloyed and unquestionable loyalty for him remain intact. I have said it oftentimes my governorship ambition is not do – or – die or such that would mean jumping here and there. I am however, surely and adequately prepared with sufficient wealth of experience to build on the successes of our indefatigable governor if given the opportunity to succeed him”

He disclosed further that as part of the gains accruing from the investment drive of present administration in the State, an investment on afforestation to the tune of several million of dollars between government and private investors is on going at Imeko Aworo spanning 108 hectares of land.

He described Gov Amosun as someone whose exceptional leadership skills and prudent management of resources has assisted to lay a very solid foundation for the greatness of the State saying that the governor deserved the support and prayers of all to be able to do more for the people.
