The Minister of Communications, Barrister Adebayo Shittu has assured Nigerians that he is “e-government compliant”. He gave this assurance at the opening ceremony of the 3rd In- Country Training Project for Capacity Building of e-government in Nigeria held at the Public Service Institute of Nigeria.
Barr. Shittu enjoined participants to avail themselves of the opportunity offered by the training which represents a new vista in the drive to evolve a workable synergy to institutionalize e-government for the socio-economic benefit of Nigeria.
The project was designed as 5 e-government courses to increase the knowledge, capacity and skill of various cadres of officers in the Public Sector. It was organized by the Federal Ministry of Communications in partnership with Korea International Co-operation Agency (KOICA) to develop Capacity Building Programme for e-government in Nigeria.
According to the Minister over 250 officers were trained during the first and second In-Country Training Programme.
