Bankole Taiwo, Abeokuta.
The Accord Party candidate for Abeokuta south federal constituency, Ogun State, Mr Kehinde Adebayo Somoye has declared that his ambition is hinged on promoting good governance and effective representation that would make life more meaningful and enjoyable for the people of his constituency.
Mr Kehinde Somoye, a US based attorney said there was no denying the fact that the people of Abeokuta south federal constituency are not having it good and have been seriously shortchanged by their past representatives at the green chamber and therefore needed a man of wealth of experience with passion for selfless service like him to wipe away their tears.
Sobayo stated this recently while speaking with journalists after his declaration as the consensus candidate for Abeokuta south federal constituency during Accord Party primaries held at its state secretariat, Ita-Osin, Abeokuta.
He said ” I am in the race because of my desire for a very long time to be part of a new political orientation firmly rooted in serving the people, advancing their prosperity and addressing our monumental developmental challenge”.
“What I have seen so far is nothing but disgraceful politics by just two big parties, APC and PDP only interested in entrenching themselves in power till eternity and not entrenching democracy and care no hoot about taking the country to greater height”.
“All these years, nothing really has changed, what I keep hearing is just grammar, this must change. We must not continue to allow people who do not have the interest of people at heart to run our politics for us and that is why I am getting involved this time around”.
“And I can say that what is in there in my aspirations for our people is all round development. Health care, education, bad roads among others would receive adequate attention. It is going to be a responsible government”.
Somoye has therefore appealed to the people of Abeokuta south federal constituency to choose him ahead of others in 2019 as their next legislator for the House of Representatives, Abuja saying that he remains only the candidate whose major reason of coming out is to wipe away their tears and ensure they tasted for the first time effective representation deeply rooted in selfless service and patriotism.
