Guaranty Trust Bank Plc, Unity Kapital Assurance Plc and AIICO Insurance Plc have accounted for 579.065 million shares worth N7.900 billion in 1,856 deals that were traded this week on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE). The three equities which were measured by volume contributed 37.66% to the total equity turnover volume and 32.62% to the value of shares this week.
NSE All-Share Index depreciated by 0.7 percent to close 36,646.46 points from 36,920.56 it closed the previous week, while Market Capitalization also depreciated by N12.631 trillion from N12.726 trillion it closed the previous week.
The NSE Main Board appreciated by 1.34 percent, NSE Banking and NSE Consumer Goods Indices both appreciated by 0.3 percent and 2.38 percent respectively, while all other Indices finished lower during the week.
Caverton Offshore Support Group Plc topped the gainers’ table when it gained 16 kobo to close at N1.16 per share, Dangote Flour Mills came in behind after raking 62 kobo to close at N6.62 per share, UACN grabbed 25 kobo to close at N3.00 per share, Flour Mills Nigeria Plc rounded up the list of top ten gainers with N1.43 to close at N29.94 per share.
However, 11 Plc went down by N32.51 to close at N192.55 per share, Conoil Plc slipped by N4.82 to close at N29.07 per share, followed by Unilever Nigeria which went down by N4.20 to close at N41.30 per share, while the list of top losers was rounded up by 7UP Bottling Company Plc which lost N4.84 to close at N98.12 per share.
A reported total turnover of 1.538 billion shares worth N24.218 billion in 19,187 deals were traded this week by investors on the floor of the Exchange against the total shares of 1.394 billion valued at N25.037 billion that exchanged last week in 23,133 deals.
