Brazilian forward, Fabinho has revealed that he will try to convince former Monaco team-mate Kylian Mbappe to “come over” to Liverpool.
Fabinho swapped Monaco for Liverpool in a deal worth €45 million (£39m/$52m) as manager Juggen Klopp embarked on something similar to a summer transfer spending spree.
The Reds has also signed Xherdan Shaqiri and Alisson Becker in the summer window, as they look to close the gap on champions Manchester City in the 2018-19 Premier League campaign.
Now, Fabinho wants Mbappe to join him at Anfield.
“He [Mbappe] has already said this season he will remain at PSG, but I will try to slowly to convince him to come over,” Goal quoted Fabinho to have said.
“Kylian Mbappe sent me a text message congratulating me for coming to Liverpool. Unfortunately I have not had a chance to congratulate him for what he did during this World Cup.
“What France did was fantastic. What Mbappe did in two years of professional football is amazing. He is a phenomenon and needs to be congratulated, and as soon as I have the chance I will.”
