Telecommunication network provider, 9mobile has announced that the fast depletion of data earlier experienced by 9mobile MiFi Subscribers is not from their network (network related).
According to Head, Environmental Compliance , Public Relations and Corporate Affairs, 9mobile, Mrs Oluseyi Osunsedo “ the fast depletion rate experienced by subscribers could be caused by the number of applications running in the background, most time unknown to the device user.
“The more the number of applications, the faster the data depletion rate because most of the application keep running in the background and this uses data.
“9mobile is known for data superiority so customers on our network enjoy superior data network quality which makes customers’ devices and applications work optimally thereby providing the best internet experience “, she said.
Speaking further, she said, “Most people believed they have disable auto – update but the default system is most restored for some applications when a new operating system (OS) update is installed on a device and this enables background updates to resume without the subscriber’s knowledge.
“Devices consume data at different rates based on their screen size and the type of content they access on the internet with the number of devices connected to the MiFi/ data services can affect fast depletion of data”, she stated.
She therefore advised subscribers to change their password from time to time to prevent automatic access.
Osunsedo assured 9mobile subscribers that the issue of getting investors will not get in the way of providing them with good quality services.
“But factors like multiple fiber cuts due to road construction, bush burning and sabotage are general issues affecting operators at different times”, added Osunsedo
