Cameroon vs Nigeria: Team news, potential starting 11, TV schedule for Monday’s game

On Monday evening, Cameroon will host Nigeria in the reverse leg of a 2018 World Cup qualifier in Yaounde.

The Super Eagles are well in charge of the Group B of the Africa qualifying zone, after winning their first three fixtures, including a 4-0 thumping of the Indomitable Lions last Friday.

Gernot Rohr’s men have nine points, five more than their hosts and would be looking to stretch that advantage at the Stade Omnisport Ahmadou Ahidjo.

Kick-off is by 6pm West African time and the match would be televised on SuperSport 3 in Nigeria.

In Cameroon, it will be available to watch live on television (SuperSport 3 Africa) or using an online stream.

In the UK, the game will be available to watch live on television on BT Sport 2, as well as being available to stream online using the BT Sport app.

In the US, the match will not be available to watch live on television.

Nigeria have a number of options to choose from in this decisive encounter.

Anthony Nwakaeme could make his international bow and Ola Aina has also been cleared by FIFA to make his debut for the Eagles.

Potential starting XI for Nigeria: Ezenwa, Shehu, Troost-Ekong, Balogun, Echiejile, Onazi, Ndidi, Mikel, Moses, Simon, Ighalo.

Coach Hugo Broos is likely to ring some changes in his team as he hopes for a decent result at home.

Not minding the alterations, Fabrice Ondoa, Vincent Aboubakar and Christian Bassogog are expected to retain their places in the starting line-up.

Potential starting XI for Cameroon: Ondoa; Mabouka, Fai, Teikeu, Ngadeu; Anguissa, Siani, Djoum, Moukandjo, Bassogog; Aboubakar.
