Buhari will return to Nigeria – Northern APC Chairmen

The forum of chairmen of Northern States All Progressive Congress, APC, yesterday expressed hope that President Muhammadu Buhari will return home.

They urged Nigerians to continue to pray for the president to resume his duties soon and continue his policies and programmes aimed at improving their lives.

The forum also appealed to the public to desist from speculating about the president’s health status.

Its Chairman, Ali Bukar Dalori, who doubles as Borno State APC Chairman, spoke while commenting on a six-point communiqué issued at the end of a meeting in Abuja.

On behalf of his colleagues, he declared support for the APC government under President Buhari, the National Chairman, John Odigie-Oyegun and the National Working Committee, NWC.

The chairman also expressed confidence that the fight against corruption would not spare anybody found wanting under the present administration.

Parts of the communique, signed by the Chairman, Dalori, and Secretary of the forum, Mr. Attahiru Maccido, reads: “We commend Buhari in spearheading the resolution of the Gambian political logjam, thereby averting a major crisis in the West African sub- region.”

The communiqué further hailed the government for its “achievements, especially in the areas of security, job creation, economic and foreign policies, agricultural and social development”.
