Banire, Tinubu, others for JCI Leadership Colloquium


Chairman, Assets Management Corporation of Nigeria, (AMCON), Dr. Muiz Banire will be speaking at this year’s annual leadership colloquium of Victoria Island Chapter of Junior Chamber International.

The colloquium that is billed to hold on Saturday, November, 23rd, 2019 will also have the President of the Nigeria-Britain Association, Mr. Shola Tinubu; Management Consultant, Mr. Kalada Apiafi and Head, Services, Union Bank, Mrs. Dupe Ogunbiyi speaking on different topics at the summit.

The colloquium in its theme “Leadership and Youth: Practical Roadmap to Self Growth through Community Impact” will address how young people can build leadership capacity for both economic and national development.

The Chapter President of the organisation, Miss Olamipo Adeola said that this year’s theme was carefully chosen to provide leadership capacity for young people to take on leadership responsibilities in their various communities and in their various careers.

Adeola added that the speakers were also chosen based on their leadership prowess and contribution to the society.

“We understand where we are as a country and likewise the responsibilities on us as youths to step up to numerous challenges in terms of political and economic development”

“We organised the colloquium for young people to learn what it takes to lead, take up leadership responsibilities, and most importantly have a practical guide to self-growth through community impact. This we believe will position the country among the top nations in the world”, she said.

JCI, is a non-profit international organisation of young people between 18 and 40 years that provides development opportunities that empower young people to create positive changes.

The organisation has members in over 124 countries of the world creating community impacts and opportunities
