Adamawa state stakeholders of the All Progressive Congress (APC), party have urged politicians to avoid overheating the polity, aimed at distracting the Boss Mustapha, SGF led transition committee. Umar Duhu, former North-East Vice Chairman of APC said the SGF, was appointed to chair an important national assignment, should be allowed to face the task to justify the confidence reposed in his appointment by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Duhu asserted that, the SGF has what it takes to aspire for any political position, as well as pairing with the national leader of the APC, Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu, for the presidency in 2023. “The SGF is currently busy with state matters and should not be distracted from winding up of President Muhammadu Buhari’s first term and to set the tone for the second term.
“The national assignment of stabilizing national affairs, before the SGF override his personal political ambitions. “Politicians should avoid overheating the polity to distract the transition committee. “Mustapha’s intimidating credentials are there 30 years ago.
“The Kingibe group within the Social Democratic Party (SDP) actually presented him initially to Abiola for consideration as presidential running mate. Duhu however added that, the SGF was qualified and free to seek the highest office in the land in line with APC’s power-shift arrangement.
