Osun State Governor Rauf Aregbesola has urged the new Oloba-Ile of Oba in Olorunda Local Government Area, Oba Adekunle Oyeyemi, to play fatherly roles among his people.
The governor, who spoke at the coronation and presentation of staff of office to the monarch, advised him to ensure peace in the town and with neighbouring communities.
Represented by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Moshood Adeoti, the governor said: “The success recorded by this administration in the area of communal peace and harmony could not have been achieved without the cooperation and support of our revered royal fathers. We are indeed very grateful for your assistance at all times and will implore you to continue to play your fatherly roles.”
Oba Oyeyemi, who has a Ph.D in Pyschology, urged Aregbesola to provide the community with infrastructure, such as good roads and health facilities which he said would ensure rapid growth of the community.
