It is fantasy–PDP
Cheap talk–Accord Party

Gov. Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State has disclosed that his party, All Progressives Congress, APC would rule for at least 16 years or more in Ogun State given its record of excellent performance since it took over the affairs of the State in the last seven years.
Gov. Amosun made this declaration while answering questions from journalists during the world conference held at the State capital to herald the third edition of African Drum Festival beginning from Thursday next week.
Reacting to a question bordering on whether the festival would continue if his party, APC failed to return to power during next year election, Gov. Amosun said ” we know ourselves now, anybody can go about making noise everywhere, some of them can not even be councilor. I don’t want to be like those who say they will rule for life, I know I will handover to an APC government, after eight years, the person will also hand over to another APC government who in turn after another eight years hand over power to APC government…the people of Ogun State know where to pitch their tent when the time comes. So, whether Amosun is there or not, some of our legacies such as the African Drum Festival, Investors’ Forum have come to stay because they are about development of the State just like that of Calabar carnival, London and Brazil carnival among others”.
The opposition party, PDP in his reaction has however described the governor’s outburst as mere fantasy saying that the governor would be awoken from his slumber when his party suffer terrific defeat at the poll next year.
Speaking with our Correspondent, Mr Sunday Solarin, Secretary General for Ladi Adebutu Campaign Organisation and PDP chieftain in the State said “…anybody can say anything, we said much more while we were in power, it is mere fantasy that is being sold to the governor by the sycophants around him. It will soon be obvious to him that he has lost touch with reality after his party is soundly defeated in next year election. Luckily, the people of Ogun State and not the governor will determines the winners in the election and I have that assurance that having tasted the two parties, residents of the State will never again make the mistake of voting again for APC.”
The Publicity Secretary of Accord Party in the State, Asojuoba Michael Adesanya has also described the governor’s comment as mere cheap talk asking ” is Gov. Amosun God? Only God will determine the next occupant of Oke Mosan and God willing it will be from Accord party because both PDP and APC have failed the people”.
