Grammy award-winning singer, Angelique Kidjo, on Sunday, performed at the centenary anniversary of the end of the First World War in France.
Kidjo performed a single, Blewu before world leaders at the Arc de Triomphe, in Paris.
The track was originally by the late Togolese music diva, Bella Bellow. Kidjo wore a long blue Ankara dress with a matching headgear for her performance.
Some of the world leaders present at the anniversary were US president, Donald Trump, French President, Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor, Angela Merkel and others.
On her verified Facebook page, Kidjo wrote, “Today Nov 11th 2018, I sang Bella Bellow’s beautiful song “Blewu” to celebrate peace and the memory of the fallen African soldiers of World War One in front of the leaders of this world under the Arc De Triomphe.”
