Kayode Tokede, collects social media reactions.
The former Minister of Aviation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, said that, “Only a primitive and savage cow-loving herdsman can appoint a low class cockney-accented peasant from the slums of East-End London and a barely-educated misfit with a forged NYSC certificate as Minister of Finance.
“No wonder we are in a recession! It’s time for Kemi Adeosun to resign!”
Former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Mr. Reno Omokri, tweets that “Why focus only on @HMKemiAdeosun alone? Did Zahra Buhari do her mandatory NYSC before being married off? Has power bike riding Yusuf Buhari served as a youth corper?
“Is NYSC, under Buhari, meant for the masses alone? It is a question Nigeria must answer with their votes in 2019?”
The former Presidential candidate under Kowa Party in Nigeria’s 2015 elections, Remi Sonaiya said, “Patiently waiting for the Minister of Finance @HMKemiAdeosun to break this silence which is becoming rather uncomfortable.
“The honorable thing to do would be to come out clean: Did you forge your NYSC certificate or not? It’d be so refreshing to have a public officer #TellTheTruth.”
Governance, Public Service Reforms, Public Policy, Deliverology, Political Economy, Dr. Joe Abah, on his twitter handle said, “If it is true that the Minister of Finance did not do the NYSC and presented a forged certificate, then her position is irredeemably untenable and she must be fired AND prosecuted.
“That a swift rebuttal or admission has still not been issued is difficult to understand.”
Senior Adviser (Nigeria), International Crisis Group, Nnamdi Obasi, said, “ Finance Minister Kemi Adeosun and National Youth Service Corps @nysc_ng authorities need to respond, URGENTLY and CLEARLY, to allegation that she skipped #NYSC, then cooked certificate. Every passing hour of silence further dims Nigeria’s #corruption image worldwide.”
