The fire that gulf the Accountant General Of Federation (AGF) office In Abuja on Wednesday has been put under control by firefighters, a source explained.
The source said investigation currently ongoing to the cause of the fire.
The fire was bellowing within the Treasury House, the building housing the office of the Accountant-general of the federation, which affected the AGF’s office and some other offices within the complex has been put out.
It was gathered that the fire started from the third floor and razed most parts of the building upwards including the floor where the Accountant General’s office is situated.
But the cause of the inferno which began at 10 am on Wednesday is yet unknown.
Firefighters were said to have battled to put out the fire with workers and sympathizers assisting them.
Our correspondent gathered that Firefighters were later joined by officials of National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and police men all in a bid to end the fire.
