Agbure re-appointed as DELSU spokesman as Eku residents want Police Division

The immediate past Public Relations Officer of the Delta state University ( DELSU) and President of DELSU multipurpose Cooperative Society, Abraka, Mr Edward Agbure has been re-appointed as the Public Relations Officer ( PRO) of the University. His appointment is coming two months after the Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Andy Egwunyenga assumed Office.

Agbure who had served in the Senate Division of the Registry department before his appointment, is hardworking and intelligent with a passion for his job.

Speaking to Journalists in the area, Agbure said’ the decision by the Vice Chancellor to reappoint me is in recognition of my Commitment to the University, and I will improve on what I met on ground as ever before” and thanked God for the opportunity to serve in this Capacity once again.

Meanwhile, residents of Eku Community in Delta state have renewed the call for the upgrade of Eku District Office to a Police Division, adding that it was the only way the Community residents can Sleep with their two eyes closed.

One of the residents, Ekakite Napoleon said” I recall that a few years back, we had serious security Challenges Since the District Officer and Police Officers Policing the area were few and were unable to meet our security needs, so we decided to build a bigger district office with facilities and logistics of a Police Division”

Asked if the Community had had any feedback from the Police authorities regarding its request, he said” we all want is for the place to be upgraded to a Division and if this is done more Officers will be posted to meet the security needs of the Community, banks and Students, the Place is bigger than many divisions in the state, we have three cells which has one for women and two for men , there is  armoury and more than four offices for the Divisional Police Officer among others”
