Afromedia Plc has appointed Mr. Kabir Usman and Mr. Lateef Bakare, to the Board as its Non-Executive Directors.
In a notice on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE), signed by the Company Secretaries expressed confidence that, their wealth of experience will be a great addition to the existing mix on the Board.
However, the company noted that Usman has over 25 years of cognate banking and management consulting experience with an in depth knowledge and skills in diverse areas spanning, business development, credits and risk management, strategic marketing, banking operations, internal audits, administration, relationship management and branch/group management responsibilities.
Other the other hand, Bakare has had about 42 years working experience in diverse areas spanning, corporate restructuring and financial re-engineering.
Recently, the NSE lifted the suspension it placed on trading in the shares of Afromedia after filing its outstanding financial statements to the Exchange.
According to the issuers’ rules, “In view of the submission of the company’s accounts and pursuant to rule 3.3 of the default filing rules, which provides that the suspension of trading in the issuer’s securities will be lifted upon submission of the relevant accounts provided the Exchange is satisfied that the accounts comply with all applicable rules of the Exchange.”
