The People Democratic Party (PDP) in Bauchi state has said that former Governor Mohammad Abubakar was ousted from power over what it described as “incompetency and cluelessnes.”

The party who identified the former governor Abubakar as a tenant in the state, explained that people of Bauchi state collectively sacked him for his inability to repair the state after his service of four years as a tenant.

The party’s chairman, Hamza Koshe Akuyam said these during a media chat organised by the state governor to celebrate his first 100 days in office on Saturday. He explained that his àPDP was careful enough to expose the incompetency of the immediate past Governor Abubakar to the people of the state by voting in governor Bala Mohammed

“Now, the people of Bauchi have known that, there is a difference between a tenant and a landlord. A tenant does not repair house. The former Governor was a tenant, so, he could not work for the progress of Bauchi as a tenant, so we brought in the son of the soil and drove him out so that the people of Bauchi will have a relief.

“The first thing we did was, we allowed delegates to freely choose among the contestants, the PDP did not impose any candidate on the people, so the people were able to ýselect Bala Mohammed to be the candidate of the party going by his charisma and verse experience in politics,” the PDP Chairman said.

He said that the PDP is highly impressed that Governor Bala has not disappointed the people of Bauchi state and will not do so.

Akuyam added that, “we brought somebody who will deliver and the people have started seeing the laudable projects he has started even those doubting Thomas that were saying, “ will he do it? Have become convinced that Bala is the man to do it.

Akuyam noted that former Governor Mohammed Abubakar is the first governor to lose election after serving just a tenure in the history of Bauchi state because of lack of performance.
