2020 Budget: Ogun Central stakeholders meeting holds today

The final phase of the stakeholders engagement called Town hall meeting for 2020 budget for Ogun state holds today at June 12 Cultural Centre, Kuto, Abeokuta.

The town hall meetings are being held in continuation of the commitment of the Ogun State Government to offer its people a government that will be all about them.

Delegates are expected from Ifo, Abeokuta South,  Abeokuta North, Ewekoro and Odeda, Obafemi-Owode local government areas. They will converge at the June 12 Cultural  Centre, Kuto Abeokuta.

A release signed  by Kunle Somorin, Chief Press Secretary to Governor Dapo Abiodun stated that the meeting will start at 10am prompt.

The release added that the event will avail the people of the senatorial district an opportunity to rub minds with government on their basic needs, adding that the meeting will ensure that the critical needs of the people are captured in the 2020 budget.

The 2020 budget is to prioritise projects required to fulfil “the Building our Future Together” Agenda of the Dapo Abiodun administration and to ensure strategic allocation of resources to projects and programmes that will make the most impact on the citizens.

Somorin in the release further stated that, all officers from the post of Assistant Director and above, in the Public Service of Ogun State and representatives of different interest groups across the State, including Traditional, Religious and Political Leaders, Trade and Market Associations, Professional Bodies, Civil Society Groups, Student Unions among others are also invited to these meetings.

All participants are expected to be seated by 9:30am.
