An appointee of Gov Ibikunle Amosun, Commissioner 1 in Ogun State Local Government Commission, Hon Kayode Sodiyan has declared that as long as Gov Amosun is not God, his decision not to support All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for the state, Prince Dapo Abiodun remain insignificant.
Hon Kayode Sodiyan and one time Chairman, caretaker committee of Ikenne local government, in a chat with our Correspondent during a rally held at the local government to garner more support for Prince Abiodun declared that ” that Gov. Amosun is not supporting Prince Abiodun means nothing, the governor is not God and it is only God who determines who can be successful in any venture, so we have the support of God and so we are on course”.
He said “Gov. Amosun has no doubt done well to serve the state but Prince Dapo Abiodun has what it takes to perform better if elected as the governor of the state. He has great agenda for the state in terms of agriculture, employment creation, infrastructural development among others, so we have that assurance that Dapo Abiodun will consolidate on the giant strides of Gov. Amosun. By the special grace of God, victory is sure for our party and Dapo Abiodun is the next governor of the state”.
Speaking further on the insistence of the governor to only work for the victory of governorship candidate of Allied Peoples Movement (APM) Hon Abdulkabir Akinlade in the forthcoming poll, Hon. Sodiyan said that ” this is issue for the national leadership of the ruling party to decide, if they condone anti party activities, good luck to them but if they don’t, it is up to them to take action”.
“Gov Amosun remain the governor, he can do anything, say anything but if what he says is not compatible with what the party wants, it is the national leadership that will decide. Normally, it is wrong for one to be in a party and be working for victory of another party. It is obvious, everyone knows this is wrong but he is the governor, the No 1 citizen in the state”.
